Let's start with this late 80's record from a famous Ghanaian artist, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, described as the Ghanaian James Brown (remember the holy grail "Simigwa" record ?).

I decided to make you discover one track of this album, Simigwa Soca, that reminds me Sweet Music, a song from the prolific Barbados artist Lord Shorty that i already posted on the blog.

A Soca track from Ghana, it was forced to be necessarily interesting - Enjoy !

Anoman Brouh Felix

In the mid 70's, the recording industry in Ivory Coast was extremely prolific, led by many famous labels such as La Societe Ivoiriene du Disque, Badmos, Safie Deen and, at last but not least, the great Djima Records Label (remember Kante Manfila ?).

Anoman Brouh Felix, a famous singer from Adzopé (a small village in the region of Agnéby) released several interesting 7" during this period, which the one i decided to make you discover here, that contains one beautiful ballad on the A Side, "Dans Tes Bras, Je suis Bien"
