The Blog is Moving to a new adress : www.africangrooves.fr !

Hello everyone !

Just a little word to inform you that this blog "African Grooves" is moving to a new adress !! This post is my last post on blogspot !

I have my own official Website now, the adress is : http://africangrooves.fr/category/blog/ !!

It's easier than with blogspot, you will know find a search tool bar to find articles easily (for instance, you'll just have to write "Cameroon" in the Search Tool Bar to find all the articles related with !).

More, you'll find appart from the blog section a special mix section, a label version (for my new "Nanga Boko Record" record label), a interview / video section and a shop section, to buy new releases or original records taken from my own collection !

See you there, and many thanks for all your support !

Gerard Nerplat - Prix A Pain La (Guadeloupe, 197?, Univers Disques)

Gerard Nerplat is a singer and composer from the French Guadeloupe island who released a few records since the 70's, full of spiritual biguines and Gwoka tracks. He's accompanied on his albums by his brother Michel Nerplat on the Saxophone.

Although he released a few albums, he is one of my favourite Guadeloupean artists. I decided to present you "Prix A Pain La", a deep spiritual Gwoka biguine masterpiece that criticizes the cost of living increase in Guadeloupe.

New Selection : Bon baisers de Fort-de-France : A Selection of Fine Biguines and Jazzy Tracks From the French West Indies

Hi everyone !!!

It's a reaaaal pleasure to be here with you after these 2 months !!!! Sincerely sorry for the delay, too much work (yes I have a job), and just the time for me to dig for my dear readers some records from all over the world : Zambian records, Ethiopian stuff, records from Turkey, Morrocco, Guyana..

So to celebrate the rebirth of this blog, I've prepared one (short) selection (yes, from now I will select only 6 records for each mix, to avoid a too long and boring stuff !) of Carribean Biguines and Jazzy tracks from several records taken from the 30's to the 80's - Enjoy the ride !

Next week we'll travel to Mali,

Sincerely yours,

Armand
